This is a post for everyone who wants one million books in a single series to read! And I’d LOVE suggestions, too! These are only in mystery and fantasy, but I hope you enjoy if they’re new to you. Links are affiliate links that go to the first book in the series.
MYSTERY
Louise Penny’s Gamache Series. Start at the beginning and LOVE IT.
Laurie King’s Mary Russell series. They involve Sherlock. They’ll keep ya busy.
Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce series. These are an absolute joy.
Lilian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who series. Cats kinda solve mysteries, which is the last thing I’d think I like. And yet, I read all 9,000 in like a month.
FANTASY
Been Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London series. I adore these. I’m actually listening to them on audibook after having read them, because they’re so much fun (and GREAT audiobooks).
Jodi Taylor’s Chronicles of St. Mary’s. These are bonkers and huge bestsellers in the UK. Enjoy!
Sarah Painter’s Crow Investigations series. There are only four of them out, but they’re great and she writes fast.
Katherine Arden’s Winternight Trilogy. Obviously, it’s a trilogy, so they won’t keep you busy long. But they’re SO GOOD.
All of Tamora Pierce and Naomi Novik’s book. Both have a few different series, many of which are interconnected a la Mercedes Lackey in Pierce’s case. All are great. Novik’s most recent fairy tale-based books were a godsend.
Please comment with any series you loved, as I’m RACING through books! #thankspandemic

Almost finished with Aaronovitch. Started Penny back when we had to read the first one for SHU and loved the series but got away from it. I definitely need to revisit. Lots of other suggestions I haven't delved into. Thanks!
